| The 2005 Slovak Championship consisted of 8 races where the best 4 results were counted. Races were held in the capital city Bratislava, my home city Trencin, Banska Bystrica, and Kosice. I visited four races together with Juraj. Only one of these 4 tracks is a permanent track (in Trencin), while the other tracks are temporary tracks in parking areas. The Slovak Championship was attended by 48 drivers from Slovakia and Czech Republic. All races were driven on dry tracks with sunny weather. |

| The first race, which I visited, was held in Bratislava in June 2005. This race is attended by all of the best Slovak drivers such as Tomas and Igor Liptak, myself and Juraj, and Oskar Malatinsky. The event had a really good, friendly atmosphere. I won all 4 qualification rounds and I made TQ in front of Igor Liptak. Third was Tomas Liptak and fourth was Juraj Hudy. I won the first final by more than half a lap in front of Tomas Liptak and one lap ahead of third place Oskar Malatinsky. Juraj had some technical issues and Igor had interference issues, so they didnâ™t finish the first final. I went on to win the second final in front of Juraj, who finished only two second behind me. |

Third was Tomas Liptak. Before the third final it started to rain so the third final was driven on a wet track. Tomas won the third final only 0.4 second ahead of Juraj. They showed a nice and clean battle when they changed their positions more than twice. Because I was already winner of this race I didnâ™t drive third final.

| The second and third races of the Slovak Championship were held on my home track in Trencin; two races were during one weekend. One race was on Saturday and second one on Sunday. Again the sunny weather gave this event a very fun, friendly atmosphere. However, since this track is permanent, it is impossible to drive at any desired time because it became dirty very quickly. We could drive on this track only thanks to Igor Liptak, who cleaned the track on Friday. |

| On Saturday the race again was attended by all of the best Slovak drivers and also some drivers from Czech Republic and Poland. I again won all four qualifiers but there was a very intense battle for second place among Tomas, Igor Liptak, and Juraj. After four qualifiers it was Tomas in 2nd then Juraj and Igor in 3rd and 4th. The first final saw a big battle between me and Tomas. Tomas had a small advantage because he drove with Take Off CS22 tires and I drove with CS27 tires. Because the track was very slippery Tomas had more grip and more steering but it give me chance to enjoy the fight in the finals so I drove the whole race with these tires. |

I won the first final in front of Tomas, who finished only 1 second behind me, followed by Igor in 3rd and Oskar Malatinsky in 4th. Juraj encountered a lot of interference issues in the finals. He changed frequencies, receiver and ESC but nothing helped. I won the second and third finals in front of Tomas and Igor.

The Sunday race in Trencin was attend by almost everyone from the Saturday race. The race was again in the same atmosphere as the Saturday race. I won all four qualifiers and again there was a battle between Tomas, Juraj and Igor. After the qualifiers, Tomas was in 2nd in front of Juraj and Igor. I won the first two finals, but there was a bigger difference between me and Tomas than on Saturday. Tomas finished in 2nd and Juraj finished in 3rd (who after changing radio had no more issues with interference). Juraj won the third final in front of me because after contacting Tomas in first lap I started from last position. Igor finished 4th ahead of Oskar Malatinsky

| The last race of Slovak Championship was held in August in Banska Bystrica. This race was driven at a parking area track but grip was really good. This track is not very big and not very difficult so differences among drivers were not as big as in Trencin. I again set the TQ pace without any big problems, and again the battle was among Tomas, Juraj and Igor. Juraj had a good day and he was really quick. He won the second round of qualifiers and after qualifiers he was in 2nd place. |

It was a bad day for Tomas as he made a lot of small mistakes in the qualifiers and finished 4th behind 3rd-place Igor. Local driver Martin Mihalik was also very fast. He is a young driver and sometimes is very fast. Although he had no chance to challenge the top four drivers, he drove very cleanly and could keep quite a big distance between himself and the other drivers.
The first final was full of exciting position changes. I had interference in the first lap so I immediately moved down six positions. After the first lap, Juraj took the lead but after a crash contact when he lapped slower drivers he moved down to 4th place. Tomas took the lead but after two minutes I retook the lead again. |

On this track the biggest issue was dealing with lapped traffic, since the track is very small and there is not a lot of place for overtaking. I won the first final in front of Igor and Juraj. Before the second final, I changed position on the drivers stand and I had no more problems with interference; without the previous interference issues I won the second final in front of Juraj and Igor. In winning this second race, I also won the Slovak Championship! Juraj was very quick in the third final and after some laps he took the lead ahead of me. I drove the entire final behind Juraj and in the last corner I retook the lead when I pushed Juraj a little bit out of the corner. Tomas finished in 3rd ahead of Igor.

Whole championship was driven in a very friendly atmosphere. I was very happy that I could drive this championship because I didnâ™t drive last year due to my full schedule. I was pleasantly surprised that the racing skills of Slovak drivers have noticeably improved. A lot of young drivers such as Tomas and Martin Mihalik are sure to be very good drivers in the near future. We need only more tracks and very importantly more permanent tracks because Slovak drivers donâ™t have the opportunity to drive otherwise, as most club races are done on temporary tracks in parking areas.
